Benenden Healthcare is a mutual 'not for profit' Friendly Society run by members for members.
We’re a mutual organisation, not a medical insurer, our members club together so we can get the first class medical help we need, when we need it most.
As a member, we’ll trust you to use your judgment when deciding whether or not your problems can be solved elsewhere. In return, we’ll use our judgment by taking into account your individual circumstances if you do decide to ask for our help; this is described as discretionary. And as we're not a medical insurer you don't pay insurance premium tax on your contributions.
Our mutual status is very important to our members, who share our belief that we should help each other. Our approach has worked successfully for over 100 years because it's founded on common sense and mutual trust. Benefits may vary according to the needs of the member, the resources available or over time.
